The collection contains typescripts, illustrations with color separations, dummies, and galleys for the following nine titles: Dorrie and the birthday eggs (1971); Dorrie and the blue witch (1964); Dorrie and the witch doctor (1967); Dorrie and the witch's imp (1975); Dorrie and the witch's spell (1968); Dorrie's play (1965); Lisa and the grompet (1970); Lobo (1969); and The magic pot (1977). There are also four unidentified illustrations.

Patricia Coombs has illustrated juvenile books for others authors, but is best known for her self-illustrated titles, especially her "Dorrie" series. She was on the New York Times Ten Best Books of the Year list (1962), the Child Study Association of America Books of the year (1970, 1971-73, 1975-76, 1986), New York Times Ten Best Illustrated Books of the Year list (1972). Gladys Yessayan was born in 1921 in Reedley, California. She married Clarence A. Cretan and had two children. Her first children's book was published in 1964.
